Winter is a truly magical time up here in the North. Ekker Island offers excellent conditions for experiencing the northern lights, as we are situated right in the heart of the auroral oval. If you’re lucky, you may witness the colorful light show in the sky multiple times during your stay. During the winter months, we also offer experiences with reindeer, dog sledding, and snowmobiling.

These winter activities are available from November to March, weather permitting.
