Whale and Puffin Safari
Join us for a spectacular experience along the coast of Vardø with a RIB boat tour.
On the way to Hornøya, we'll be on the lookout for whales that often pass through the Varangerfjord. Once you arrive on the island, you'll be greeted by abundant birdlife, including common species such as puffins and guillemots. We might also catch glimpses of other exciting species, such as the grey seal.
This safari is only available from March until August.

The Barents Sea is rich in birdlife, but it also hosts a variety of marine mammals. As we head out by boat, there’s a chance to spot porpoises, white-beaked dolphins, humpback whales, and minke whales. If you're really lucky, you might even see orcas.
Hornøya is a renowned birdwatching destination and home to one of Norway's most significant seabird colonies. This small island is a paradise for bird enthusiasts, offering the chance to observe a wide variety of seabird species up close: Puffin, Guillemot and Razorbill – to name a few.
